Children’s Hospice Wins Minibus
Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) won the bespoke vehicle as part of the LV=Brokers’ Big Heart charity giveaway.Mike Crane, managing director from LV=Broker, delivered the minibus to Charlton Farm.
He said: “We’re honoured to be able to support a charity which provides such an invaluable service to children and local families when they need it most.
“The work Children’s Hospice South West does is incredible and we’re really happy that we’ve been able to help them.”
The minibus, which was designed and built by Red Kite, will be used for a variety of activities, including the sibling team, which looks after the brothers and sisters of children being treated by the hospice.
A CHSW spokesman said: “Many of these children can feel left out and don’t often get the chance to enjoy trips such as this due to the pressures their families are under with caring for an unwell child.
“The new minibus will ensure many more children will not miss out on these excursions.”
Kate Fisher, corporate partnerships fundraiser at CHSW, added: “The minibus will make a huge difference to our children and families – helping us make the most of short and precious lives by enabling all our children to enjoy outings and create special memories.
“We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who voted for CHSW to be the recipient of this vehicle.”
